Jet Europe signs Distribution Agreement with Kodak for Flexcel NX
ZEEWOLDE, NETHERLANDS, 18th November 2010 – Print service providers now have easier access to market-leading flexographic printing and platemaking technology thanks to a distribution agreement between Kodak and Jet Europe. The new strategic alliance sees Jet Europe to sell Kodak Flexcel NX Digital Flexographic Systems, including hardware, consumables and software.
The partnership of course has also many advantages for Kodak. Jet Europe was appointed by Kodak because of its strong position in the flexographic market across the continent. The company has a presence in almost every European country, and offers a comprehensive range of flexographic products. The sales power of Kodak can be enlarged considerably.
The Kodak Flexcel NX System represents the latest in digital flexo platemaking technology, enabling on-press efficiency and unprecedented print quality for flexographic printers. It combines superior imaging technology and materials science to produce outstanding results, helping print service providers to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
Kodak Flexcel NX Digital Flexographic Plates are designed to minimize waste and maximize efficiency in the press room while delivering results that rival offset and rotogravure print quality.
The plates are compatible with water, solvent and UV inks and are suitable for a wide variety of applications including flexible pouches, bags, labels, cartons and envelopes, with excellent ink transfer and image reproduction on both paper and film based substrates. In addition, Kodak Flexcel NX Plates help flexographic printers achieve their sustainability goals by improving production efficiency, reducing ink and substrate waste and reducing their overall consumption of photopolymer plates.
